Hey guys! I have another adopt, an older adopt from the Alolan PokeNerd :3 I’m not sure if she’s supposed to be shiny or just weird, but she’s both now! I have a headcanon that shinies have some sort of special ability. The ability to speak Human, shapeshifting/camouflage, etc. Pitaya here has telekinesis. She mainly uses it to sort of go on land by creating a water bubble around her, since she only has gills and thus can’t leave the water. She loves light and her favorite thing to do is dive deep and then swim up and watch the sunlight slowly permeate the water. Her horn grew in early for unknown reasons-probably the same reasons for her unusual gills, fins, and tail, as well as her venomous fangs that deal poison damage. She’s very loyal and quick to defend those she cares about.

Ooh, I like the whole special ability thing for shinys. In my Pokemon world, the canon is that shiny Pokemon were all blessed by Victini, making them more powerful than a regularly colored Pokemon

Thanks! Your idea is cool too, any reason why Victini is the one that blessed them? (I know zero about legendaries/legends)

It's hard to say with out telling you about the entire history of my world lmao(although if you're really curious, pm me), but basically in order to win a really big war, Arceus' side created victini to help them win, and victini did so by blessing pokemon with the power of victory, which heightened their auras, changing their colors and making them glitter.
